IT’S GOLD! HIT AWARDED PEOPLE 1ST GOLD STATUS
Posted by HJUK
It’s a time for celebrations here at HIT Training, as not only have we achieved a GOOD Ofsted grade, we’ve also been awarded the People 1st Gold Standard for the 3rd year running!
The standard recognises our commitment to providing high-quality apprenticeships across the hospitality sector and our work to be one of the first providers to introduce the new apprenticeship standards. It’s important to us to always operate with that extra personal touch, making each learner and employer’s experience unique and bespoke to their needs. This ethos was reflected in the People 1st report, with one learner commenting that they didn’t realise how big HIT Training was because of the personal approach they’d experienced.
Remarking on the Gold Standard, Jill Whittaker, Managing Director at HIT Training, said: “I could speak for days about how proud I am of the team. Everyone at HIT is passionate about helping people to learn and advance their careers in hospitality, as well as supporting businesses to grow through staff development, and this Gold achievement is fantastic recognition for their ongoing commitment.
“The benefits of apprenticeships really speak for themselves. For example, through working in partnership with Harrison Catering Ltd to develop a bespoke apprenticeship programme, the company has seen the uptake in apprenticeships increase by 386%. This has resulted in internal promotions going up by 544% and its staff turnover rate is less than half the industry average. It’s results like this which is why we do what we do and will continue to provide the very best service to businesses and employees across the sector.”
