The Calley Arms is set in the unspoilt Hamlet of Hodson, just South of the vibrant and ever expanding town of Swindon in Wiltshire. This pub is a very popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike and has gained a reputation for its warm friendly welcome, service and quality of food.  Easy access to the M4 motorway, Swindon and Marlborough make it a very convenient destination.

The Calley Arms is a single bar operation with approximate seating for 60.  Set in the small hamlet of Hodson, a rural settlement within easy reach of Swindon and Marlborough it has all the characteristics of the great British pub where walkers and cyclists often frequent on their journeys.  The “Calley” currently has a good reputation for their quality of food and service and is a good foundation for continuation and development of the offer here.

The New Inn is set in the tranquil village of Coate in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, just 2 miles from the market town of Devizes, and easy reach of Salisbury, Stonehenge and Bath.

This traditional country pub attracts villagers, passing trade and walkers on “the White Horse trail” and visiting Oliver’s Castle.  The New inn benefits from a large car park, an affiliated camping and caravan club site and skittle alley which easily converts to a function room.

 

The New Inn is a traditional country pub which is family and dog friendly.  The cosy snug bar area, easy chairs and open fire make having a pint of Wadworth cask ale even more enjoyable, while the dining room comfortably caterers for 22.  The skittle alley is used throughout the year with winter and summer teams, and can be easily utilized as a function room with space for 50 seated.  The 4 acre camping and caravan site is well used in the summer months and gives trade a boost, the pretty lawned trade garden and front patio offer “Alfresco” eating and drinking.

The Plough is a 17th Century oak beamed traditional pub sat in an idyllic location opposite the green in the peaceful and affluent village of Shalbourne, just 3 miles from Hungerford.  Sitting in an area of outstanding natural beauty the Plough is very popular with visiting walkers and cyclists, with from strong support within the local community.

Ideally, the new Business Partners here, will be owner operators with a good level of catering skills to develop on an already solid business, a passion for maintaining and dispensing quality cask ales, and a focus on providing excellent customer service. The personal skills to interact and become a key member within a rural community by making the pub the hub of the village would be advantageous.
